Spyder 9621 Gent Undercut Opener For John Deere frames

Model 9621 was designed to convert worn out John Deere single disc openers, or for customers that are unhappy with the performance of their 1860-1890 or 1895 single disc openers. By reusing the JD frame, cast frame mount and spring assembly, customers save tens of thousands of dollars and have a superior disc opener with the K‑Hart undercut design. For customers that have replaced their spring with hydraulic cylinders, we also accommodate that.

Low Soil Disturbance, Superior Seed Placement, Virtually No Straw Pinning

The angled offset discs provide a low disturbance seed trench where the soil is lifted on an angle with the top disc, with the seed being placed under the flap, and the soil gently falling back over itself, leaving a very low disturbed seedbed before it is packed by the packer wheel. The angled seed trench prevents seed bouncing and keeps the moisture in the seedbed. Model 9621 offers the best soil to seed contact than any other disc opener on the market!
