Bourgault Hydraulic Drive Conversion Kit
Red E’s hydraulic drive conversion kit eliminates many mechanical and electrical components and replaces them with a variable flow hydraulic motor. The variable flow hydraulic motor provides consistent power and independently variable rates to each meter and allows for prescription product applications, easier calibrations, and ability to control rates from the display in the tractor.

- Compatible with many Bourgault 5000 and 6000 series air carts: 5250, 6700ST, L6550ST, 6550/6550ST, L6450/L6455, 6450, L6350, 6350, L6280, 6280
- Upgrades the ground drive system to hydraulic drive
- Instant variable rate control, improved rate control accuracy, and easier calibration
- Most common kits include all necessary wiring, hydraulic components, brackets, wiring harnesses, and hardware (Rate Controller must be purchased separately) but depend on system configuration needs.
- Meter control switch box – allows for meter jogging at cart instead of the tractor
- Multiple Rate Controller compatibility options available, including: John Deere Rate Controller Dry, Ag Leader Dry Fertilizer Controller, Raven Rate Control Module, Trimble, TopCon, etc.
- Low lbs/acre capabilities for canola and similar small seeds without “cogging”
- A speed encoder and multiple gear ratios allow for a wide range of speed ranges for most product types
